Taking A Stand
There is, as one would expect, an ideological split that divides the French patriotic websites over the issue of Israel's attacks on Lebanon. Several Catholic websites such as Vox Galliae and Le Salon Beige are against the attacks without, so far, being extreme in their animosity towards Israel. Novopress, on the other hand, has printed articles overtly hateful of Israel. I still use and will continue to use these websites as resources, for they have much that's valuable, but I'm more enlightened as to their basic philosophy.
But France-Echos, Le Conservateur, Via-Resistancia, Instinct de Survie and Occidentalis support completely the Israeli attempts to disable Hezbollah. Occidentalis issued this press communiqué today. I assume this means it has been sent to the French press, though it would be very surprising if anyone printed it:
Considering, as does President Bush, that the conflict in the Middle East is only one episode in the war that pits radical Islam against all civilizations, the signatory organizations reaffirm their support for Israel and its army. They condemn the position of Jacques Chirac that transforms, in the name of a biased morality, those aggressed into the aggressors. They reaffirm that the allies of our country are the United States and Israel, and not, in any way, Hezbollah or the Nazi Islamist regime in Iran that seeks to acquire nuclear weapons for the purpose of committing a new holocaust.
The Organizations of Resistance hereby put on their guard the journalists of the press and television who propagate an anti-Semitism and an anti-Americanism comparable to those of Vichy. Considering that those working towards the Islamization of France are not unaware of this abject propaganda, the signatories demand the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry on the accountability of Islam with respect to the laws of the French Republic. Together they will take all necessary initiatives to keep France in the camp of the Free World.
There follows the list of signatories whose numbers may grow. Among them are France-Echos and Via-Resistancia.
My only thought about this communiqué is that it is futile to call for the accountability of Islam to French law. French leaders are the ones who should be held accountable; Islam should be expelled. Islam will never be accountable to anyone.
