On the day Iranian President Ahmadinejad addressed the Security Council, a crowd of 35,000 protesters gathered outside the UN building, but unless you were in New York on that day and happened to be strolling about UN headquarters, you would never have known. A rally of 3500 people is noteworthy; a rally of 35,000 is remarkable, yet no major paper mentioned it. The rally, demonstrating support for Israel, was attended by several celebrities, including Elie Wiesel, Governor Pataki of New York and Ambassador John Bolton. The story at Powerline, with a link to the Jewish JTA website (registration required), was mentioned by Lawrence Auster.
