Resolution 1605 of the Council of Europe

The Council of Europe is not, technically speaking, part of the structure of the European Union. Founded in 1949, the CoE claims as its objective "to develop democratic principles based on the European Convention on Human Rights and other reference texts on the protection of individuals." There are 47 member countries and one applicant country, Belarus. According to the CoE website, Belarus' special guest status has been suspended due to its lack of respect for human rights and democratic principles. There are five observer countries including the Holy See and the United States.

But the CoE has the same goals as the EU and shares the EU's concern for the racism and discrimination against minorities it perceives as prevalent throughout Europe.

Here are some highlights from Resolution 1605 adopted by the Council on April 15, 2008:

2. The Parliamentary Assembly warns against any confusion between Islam as a faith and Islamic fundamentalism as an ideology. Islam is the second religion in Europe and a constituent component of European societies. In some Council of Europe member states, it is traditionally the religion professed by the majority of the population; in others, it is the religion of the majority of immigrants and of citizens with an immigrant background, who represent a growing proportion of the population. On the other hand, Islamic fundamentalism is an extremist ideology with a political agenda, which promotes a model of society which is not compatible with human rights values and standards of democracy, and which, in its worst form, calls for the use of violence to achieve its aims.

5. In parallel to these efforts, European governments bear a special responsibility to address the root causes which create a fertile ground for extremism, such as poverty, discrimination and social exclusion; to ensure full respect for the freedoms of thought, speech and religion, as laid down in the European Convention on Human Rights (ETS No. 5); and to contribute to a climate in which all religious faiths, or the absence of any faith, are equally respected. In this regard, Council of Europe member states should continue to be vigilant in their work to prevent and combat the phenomenon of Islamophobia.

9. In light of the above, the Assembly calls on the member states of the Council of Europe to:

9.1. act strongly against discrimination in all areas;

9.2. condemn and combat Islamophobia;

9.3. act resolutely against hate speech and all other forms of behaviour which run counter to core human rights and democratic values, even when their authors seek to justify them on religious grounds;

9.4. combat all forms of discrimination and violence (particularly forced marriages, sexual mutilation of women and so-called “honour crimes”) which, in the name of misinterpreted religious texts or customs, violate the fundamental rights of women and equality between women and men;

9.5. combat all forms of cultural or religious relativism which justify discriminatory practices and human rights violations, particularly those directed at women or other groups in society;

9.7.4. granting lawfully-residing immigrants the right to vote and to be elected, at least in local and regional elections, so as to have an impact on public administration and local government;

9.7.6. encouraging the participation of people with an immigrant background in political parties, trade unions and non-governmental organisations;

9.7.7. taking all the necessary measures to eliminate the inequality of opportunity faced by immigrants, including unemployment and inadequate education;

9.7.8. removing unnecessary legal or administrative obstacles to the construction of a sufficient number of appropriate places of worship for the practice of Islam;

9.7.9. ensuring that school textbooks do not portray Islam as a hostile or threatening religion;

11. Furthermore, the Assembly calls on European Muslim organisations, leaders and opinion-makers to:

11.4. promote the transmission of core European values within Muslim communities, and among young people in particular, by highlighting their compatibility with the Muslim faith;

11.5. ensure the teaching of core European values in Muslim faith schools;

11.6. encourage young European Muslims to become imams;

11.7. set up projects aimed at reducing the risk of radicalisation among the young generation and in prisons, if appropriate in co-operation with other organisations, or with local or other authorities;

11.8. encourage the promotion of fair coverage of Muslim reality and views in the media and ensure that the voice of moderate Muslims is also reported;

11.9. develop ethical guidelines to combat Islamophobia in the media and in favour of cultural tolerance and understanding, in co-operation with appropriate media organisations;

11.10. encourage the development of a secular intelligentsia.

When somebody speaks of "moderate" Islam, I can't help imagining a muezzin proclaiming that Allah is "moderately great"....Extremist attitudes and actions are in the very nature of Islam ; just read the Coran!

Kevin V. writes:

I've been following your latest series of posts on this topic with great interest, because, as with much of what you write about, this particular issue is one that transformed me from a leftist to a traditionalist who believes strongly that race does matter.
I remember when I was in college hearing of a Stanford student named Amy Biehl who had been killed by a black crowd in one of the townships in South Africa. She had gone there to help. Since my roommate at the time was a South African graduate student, I had been receiving a great education about current events there. Even though he was a liberal, he explained to me why Biehl's activities were near suicidal in nature.

It was the television reports that got to me. I remember very clearly watching the ABC News reports on the trial of the men who had stoned and stabbed Biehl to death as she begged for her life. The courtroom was packed with the relatives and friends of the accused, who had to be admonished by the judge over and over to maintain order during the proceedings. The ABC newsman focused on one dramatic event during that day's testimony. As a witness for the prosecution described in detail Biehl's begging while a knife was being driven into her chest down to the hilt, the black women in the crowd began to laugh and perform a mocking ululating while a few performed mock begging motions. The black men yowled in glee and the entire courtroom broke out into hysterics as the black crowd mocked this white girl's final moments.

Sitting in the courtroom, fresh from lily-white and very wealthy Newport Beach, California, were Biehl's parents, Linda and Peter Biehl. The news report then cut to an interview of the parents after the day's testimony, in which they declared that understood the anger of the crowd and that their fondest hope was that their daughter's murder trial would lead to an opportunity for reconciliation and forgiveness. It was seeing this despicable reaction that made me realize that what I was seeing around me in Berkeley was, in fact, true: there is no black depravity against whites that white liberals will not excuse or forgive. We have it coming. Even our own daughters have it coming.

In case you think that this was an instance of shell-shocked parents not thinking clearly, I should note that the Biehls have gone on to form a charity, the Amy Biehl Foundation, which "continues Amy's work in South Africa." The website of Beyond Intractability, which describes itself as a site dedicated to finding "more constructive approaches to destructive conflict," has this report on Linda Biehl from December, 2005:

Eventually, Peter and Linda quit their jobs in California and started a South African organization, running after-school programs and small businesses in the townships.
"We had already determined that Amy was killed during a very violent time, but there was still violence. It was mostly economic-based, there were no schools. We wanted to help make functional young people," says Linda.

In 1997, Desmond Tutu created the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Created to deal with the horrors of apartheid, the TRC allowed perpetrators of racial crimes to receive amnesty for a full confession. Victims could also receive reparations for the pain they had suffered. The four men convicted of Amy's murder applied.

The Biehls wanted to be respectful of the TRC process because they knew that Amy would have supported it. They granted all four men amnesty. At the hearing, Peter addressed the Commission saying, "The most important vehicle of reconciliation is open and honest dialogue ... we are here to reconcile a human life which was taken without an opportunity for dialogue. When we are finished with this process we must move forward with linked arms." However, despite what Peter had said at the hearing, probably nobody expected what happened next.

After they were released from prison, Easy Nofemela and Ntobeko Peni, two of the men convicted of Amy's murder had come to much the same conclusion the Biehls had about the townships.

"They were shocked to see things hadn't changed. Things were worse. Their friends were not in school. There was a lot of drinking and drugs," Linda remembers. The two men started a youth group in their township and they wanted to show the Biehls what they had done. An anthropologist who had been interviewing them offered to contact the Biehls. They agreed.

The Biehls took Nofemela and Peni out to dinner. That night was the beginning of a strong friendship between the four. The Biehls hired the two men to help out with their organization.

[end of excerpt]

She helps the murderers obtain amnesty, she dines out with them, and she hires them, the savages who murdered her own daughter.
Simply put, this is monstrously inhuman. This is liberalism.

If we, as a movement, are waiting for whites to "wake up," we will fail. The Biehl experience shows that even under such circumstances, liberalism remains a terminal disease.

This is the most hilarious resolution I have ever read in my life!

9.2: CONDEMN and COMBAT islamphobia! Islamophobia means being afraid of Islam. Who is afraid of a religion that tells to kill its' apostates? Who is afraid of a religion that stones adulterous women? Who is afraid of a religion that hangs up homosexuals? Who is afraid of a religion that is the opposite of democracy and seeks to establish dictatorial theocracies as instructed in the Quran?

9.7.9. ENSURE that school textbooks do not portray Islam as a HOSTILE or THREATENING religion. Oh yes: replace those textbooks with muslim textbooks that say that christians are "pigs" and that jews are "monkeys". And the Prophet said: "I have been made victorious with terror" (Sahi Bukhari). Yes: let Muslima's in burka teach those things to our children like they presently do in the King Fahd School in London!

11.6: encourage young European Muslims to become IMAMS. Yes and let them teach us that islam is a religion of peace and whoever claims the opposite is an idiot who needs to be slaughtered (Quran 2-191). Theo van Gogh, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Geert Wilders, Prof. Robert Redeker etc...know the death threats that hang over them for claiming the contrary. Van Gogh has been slaughtered and the other people survive thanks to their bodyguards. And Salman Rushdie also survives with bodyguards.

11.8 encourage the promotion of fair coverage of MUSLIM REALITY and views in the media and ensure that the voice of moderate Muslims is also reported. Well well: maybe report about the marriages of older men with girls 11 year old, or maybe report about the beautiful habit of female genital mutilation? Or report on the fact that kouffar girls without a veil need not be respected and may be raped? And probably forget about the 11.647 islamic terrorist attacks that were perpetrated since 9/11. Forget about churches that were put ablaze, priests that were slaughtered and nuns that were raped.

11.9: develop ethical guidelines to combat ISLAMOPHOBIA in the media and in favour of cultural TOLERANCE. Of course we have to be tolerant for other cultures. In Turkey and in Egypt Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" is on the best seller list since several years. Those are indeed "tolerant" countries! As we all know, Hitler was a great admirer of the islam ideology, which he felt to be very compatible with nazism.

The message is: BE TOLERANT! Islam will not spare you!

11.6. encourage young European Muslims to become imams...

Incredible. Is there a directive in any EU or CoE resolution encouraging European Christians to join the priesthood? Probably not, since you probably won't find ANYTHING even recognising the existence of Christianity in EU/CoE documents other than some recommendation to make it a hate crime for a Christian to encourage a Muslim to convert. I haven't actually seen that but I am sure its been proposed somewhere. I am hoping that most national governments look at this stuff and just ignore it.

@ steeve, thorum and clcutrone

Thanks to all three of you for the comments. I'm always a little surprised that people read articles that aren't on the home page! I'm also surprised at the number of links to the article. Apparently a lot of people weren't aware of the resolution. The French nationalist/Christian/sovereigntist websites keep track of what goes on in Brussels.

The Council of Europe claims to develop democratic principles based on the European Convention on Human Rights. Do'nt those dhimmies know that none ot the 57 countries that are member of the Organisation of Islamic Conference, has ratified the International Convention on Human Rights? Muslims care only for the rights of the Muslim Man. As we can witness in muslim countries: they do'nt give a damm about the rights of kouffars. Why should we promote the islamic discriminatory ideology?

The Council of Europe warns against the confusion between islam "faith" and islam "fundamentalism" as an ideology. It is like making a distinction between nazi faith and nazi ideology or fundamentalism. Islamofascism and islamic terrorism cannot thrive without the silent approval nor the proactive help of the entire muslim community, moderate or immoderate Muslims.

The Council of Europe claims that Islam is a component of European societies. Of course not: islam is an imported conquest ideology that goes against the democratic principles of all European societies: in islam there is no equality man/woman and no equality Muslim/non-Muslim. Islam has been fought by our ancestors for more than 12 centuries. Islam will destroy the European societies and civilisation just the same as they have destroyed other civilisations through their islamisation process over many centuries.

Muslims can now count on the collaboration of the Council of Europe to further their destructive conquest of Eurabia. And beware of those who do not cooperate: they will be condemned in our own courts for the newly invented offence called ISLAMOPHOBIA. That new word will more and more appear in our dictionnaries as a "deadly disease".
