Booby Prize or Booby Trap?

There is a ton of material at the websites on the Frédéric Mitterrand "affair", as sex/political scandals are aptly named. I will try to present a summary of this deluge of commentary ASAP. But I think you can imagine what is going on: Mitterrand attempts feebly to defend himself, some call for his head, inquiries are being launched into the illegality of his deeds, Marine Le Pen is being praised, and some are warning against a witch hunt when there are other crimes and worse criminals to be punished, etc...

In the meantime, the good ole USA has provided the world once again with a spectacle so mind-boggling it... boggles the mind. But don't blame us too much. This is the work of the morons on the Nobel (Ig-Nobel) committee. I wrote the following in an e-mail to a reader, but I think it is too pompous considering the fathomless vapidity of both donors and recipient:

- Speaking of "winning", look who "earned" the Nobel Prize!!! Even HE was shocked, and embarrassed. Giving him the Prize is an arrogant kick in the teeth to our national sovereignty, a revelation of the groveling extent to which affirmative action can go, and a definitive disgrace (merited) to the Nobel committee. The Nobel asses are saying to us: Be pacifists OR ELSE! This "prize" is both a shocker and a hilarious indicator of how mired in the muck the Western Left is. Let them sink into their own excretions. Obama is being told how to conduct the affairs of State of his country. America is being told to become like the European Left (i.e. most of Europe) OR ELSE! Suppose he has to fight a war... Anyway, the Nobel Prize has been a joke, an embarrassment and an insignificant detail. Now it is a weapon of mass indoctrination. Quelle connerie! Quels cons! (no translation offered).
