Yes, I do know her from early childhood.
"Silent night" used to one of the most important Christmas songs on TV and radio. Been a long time since I listened to her now, so I was very happy to enjoy your clip, with beautiful pictures, singing along with all my soul!
Noticed that Mahalia Jackson is supposed to have said "I close my eyes when singing, so I can better feel the song." So right!
