Election Update
The latest percentages at Le Salon Beige are as follows:
The Socialist Party - 36.2%
The UMP Party - 18.6%
The Front National - 11.56%
The FN had two winners - in Carpentras where Patrick Bassot won 54% and in Brignoles where Jean-Paul Dispard won by five votes over the incumbent Communist.
Here are some comments from LSB readers:
- The elections are a failure for the normalizing strategy initiated by Marine Le Pen. (Note: "normalizing" here means making the party respectable).
To which another reader responded:
- Your judgments are a wonder in that they are never backed up: the 10% for the FN are the figures of the Interior Minister who calculates by combining the cantons, i.e., those cantons where the FN was present with those cantons where it was absent. This was already the case in the first round when the minister's 15.2% was in reality 19% (…)
Note: This comment is supported by another reader who cites the figure of 41% for the FN in those cantons where there was a candidate. This is a huge difference. The figure of 11% applies to all cantons, but in the second round the FN only ran in about 400 cantons, out of the original 1400.
Marine Le Pen confirms the figure of 40% (not 41) in a spontaneous interview in which she confronted Jean-François Copé, spokesman for the UMP party. She did not lose her temper but she denounced the contempt that the UMP has for the little people, the candidates of the FN, to which he responded that the FN was showing its true face. The scene is on video (for now) at François Desouche.
Note that figures always vary until at some point the blogs get it right. The FN had said last week that 1500 candidates were running in the first round. Now they are saying that 1400 ran.
More comments:
- Look, Marine Le Pen is not perfection incarnate, but she is the lesser evil who can rally the French patriots to resist the thieves, the rotten UMPS system, etc… Sure, the KING is the solution for our country, you don't need a college degree to realize that. It's a simple truth and if Catholics (traditional or not) would only stop going to bed with this rotten regime things would be a lot better. It goes without saying, Long Live the King, but at the same time you have to be realistic and support the patriots who defend France, particularly those who can make themselves heard. Like it or not, today it is the FN with Le Pen.
In other related news, Le Figaro reports that a poll conducted by Ipsos for France Télévisions predicts that Marine Le Pen will qualify for the second round of the presidential elections, no matter what else happens.

God be with the French. If they are the first nation in Europe to awake, I will be pleased, for they have suffered much at the yoke of Mohammad.

the descendant of the bastard franco??
@ anonymous
My only reason for posting your comment is to answer it. Yes, I believe Crusader means the legitimate heir to the French throne, Louis de Bourbon, duc d'Anjou. He is the great grandson of Franco through his mother. While it is not likely he will ever reign, I for one would be very happy to see him on the throne of France. With French soil being burdened by Socialists, Communists, Multiculturalists, Ecologists, false Conservatives and true traitors, it would be a relief to have a ruler whose roots go back to the days when the French were aware of being French.
Franco had his moroccan «general» attacking thousands of people in Spain. His «general» went to north africa to recruit jihadists. People were murdered, tortured, mutilated, raped, pillaged.
If I were Spanish, I would spit on Franco's tomb.
OK But we're talking about two different things. You are reproaching Louis de Bourbon for the sins of his great grandfather. Just as some will blame Marine Le Pen for the sins of her father. We did not allow the misdeeds of Joseph Kennedy prevent us from admiring his son JFK. The sins of a person are one thing. His or her descendants cannot be forever punished for them.
A better reason for being suspicious of Louis is that he is more Spanish than French, culturally speaking. And his wife is Venezuelan. They would have to forget they are Spanish and give their entire loyalty to France. The other pretender to the throne is the Count of Paris, a descendant of the House of Orleans, therefore, a descendant of a regicide, since the House of Orleans signed the death warrant of Louis XVI. Either way, the sins of the ancestors are visited on the descendants. But we have to sometimes take a chance on people.
The children and grandchildren of John D. Rockefeller never got over the sins of their ancestor and became leftists, liberals and betrayers of basic American principles. This is much worse. When you go to fanatical lengths to atone for your family's crimes and sins, you add to the original crime.
So I would hope that Louis or the Count would simply do their duty and not try too hard to atone for any sins. Louis is related to Franco on his mother's side, but it is his father's side that counts more.
Sorry to put you through that tiberge. If the anonym wants to argue about el Caudillo, he is welcome to do so on my blog.
The count of Paris is a descendant of a regicide and Louis de bourbon is a descendant of a GENOCISTE!
Franco was a jew who allied himself with muslims to attack Spanish people.
What was the crime of Le Pen?
By the way, the rightful heir is the king Don Juan Carlos.
The authentic king of Spain is Sixtus of Borboun, a man who lives in France.
All right anonymous, now you are just being silly. Whatever a fraction of General Franco's ancestry was, he was a good Catholic who attended daily Mass. While many of his soldiers were Muslim, to say he targeted the Spanish people for sport is nonsense. He succeeded in overthrowing the Moscow-friendly, priest-murdering republic; in the process civilians died, but that's just war for you. The republicans were responsible for civilian deaths as well; at least Franco focused on killing commies rather than clerics and nuns.
Tiberge what's your opinion on this:

I've read in some places that the total fertility rate of immigrants in France only accounted for 5% in the increase of the TFT in recent years,is this true?
I'm personally very skeptic on this,i would say that the impact of TFT of immigrants in the TFT of indigenous french is significantly higher than officially reported.
...who allied himself with muslims to attack Spanish people.
The US took the side of the Muslims in the Balkans, NATO and the EU played along with Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright, and allowed the Muslims to set up a stronghold in Europe.
