More on America's Plans for France
A reader sent me a link to a long article by K.R. Bolton in Foreign Policy Journal, analyzing the attempt by the American government, through its embassy in Paris and Ambassador Rivkin, to influence and ultimately control the cultural, demographic and ideological destiny of France. I have posted three times on this topic, including the most recent post based on the Wikileaks revelations. This latest article goes far in denouncing the subversive program designed as part of long term project to force the French into the "globalist" mold. I disagree with the author's assimilation of "capitalism" with "globalism" (especially in the quote from Noam Chomsky). Capitalism is not new, and not specifically American, though we certainly gave it prominence. Capitalism is not comfortable with Socialism. Globalism, on the other hand, is a liberal movement in which capitalism is no longer connected to a nation, but is the means by which nations are dissolved or denatured, robbed of their sovereignty, and forced to bed down with their enemies. Globalism, therefore, resembles Communism much more than it resembles capitalism, which claims a work ethic and a chance to enrich oneself by one's own efforts in one's own nation. Globalism purports to do these things, but on condition that the nations renounce their nationhood and bring in massive numbers of foreigners who must be regarded as equals, or else. I have not read this article carefully, and cannot attest to it's accuracy on all points, but I saw this passage on the Front National that shows that liberal American politicians (both Democrats and spineless Republicans) would not welcome a Le Pen victory:
Nonetheless, given France’s historical role of maintaining sovereignty in the face of US interests, even in the current time with its opposition to the war against Iraq, France remains one of the few potentially annoying states in Europe. An added concern is that the French, despite their acceptance of McDonald’s, and their liking for American trash TV, will translate the remnants of their “xenophobia” into the election to Office of a stridently anti-globalist party, as reflected in the electoral ups and downs of the Front National, whose policy would not be in accord with either US foreign policy, or with privatization and cultural Americanization. Hence the Front National, like other anti-globalist parties, can be attacked by red-herring slogans about “racism” and “hate” to deflect from the real concern which is anti-globalization. This is a major reason for Rivkin’s far-reaching subversive and interventionist program to assimilate Muslims into French society, which in so doing would also have the result of fundamentally transforming French consciousness into a more thoroughly cosmopolitan mold. The intention is clear enough in the Rivkin Embassy documents where it is stated that the Embassy will monitor the effects of the “outreach” program on the “decrease in popular support for xenophobic political parties and platforms.”

Rivkin is an idiot if he does not realize his scheme will backfire.
I can't thank you enough for this post ; I think that the promoters of current American policy are not genuine Americans ; they have all but destroyed the American nation and so want the plague they have brought in the USA to reach the rest of the world ; I agree with you : they are the heirs of communism ; in the 1920s, it was called "internationalism", now it is globalism...
Quite a few people in France are aware that "without France, there is no Europe, in Brussels or elsewhere" ; the same can be said about Germany ; unfortunately, Merkel is no better than Sarkozy....And of course, Strauss-Kahn will be worse ; he does not even pretend to be French!
Where did Rivkin's family come from? This name sounds a bit Russian, doesn't it?
rivkin's politics should go back where they came from!
Ambassador Rivkin is from a Russian Jewish family.
they are a bunch of racists and genocists.

Dr. Hasan Özbekhan (1921 – February 12, 2007) was a Turkish American systems scientist, cyberneticist, philosopher and planner who was Professor Emeritus of Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He applied the field-of-systems theory to global problems, helped inspire the group of planners, diplomats, scientists and academics who came together as the Club of Rome.
The work he did for governments includes Science Policy design for Turkey and a large study for the French Government analyzing the nature of present events that, most probably, will shape the future of Paris. The recommendations derived from these analyses currently constitute the basis of the policies adopted by the French Government with respect to the city's long-term development.[2] From 1963 to 1969 he was principal scientist and director of planning at the System Development Corporation, a military research group and software development company in Santa Monica, California.[1]
In 1970 he started working at the University of Pennsylvania at the faculty of the Wharton School, where he became Professor of Operations Research and Statistics, and Chairman of the Graduate Group in the Social Systems Sciences Department. From 1986 until his retirement in 1992 he was Professor of Management at the Wharton School.
He has been a Fellow of the Royal Economic Society, and held membership in The Economic Club of New York, the American Economic Association, the National Academy of Economics and Political Science, The Society of Business Advisory Professions, the Comité National Belge de l'Organisation Scientifique, the American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy, Mankind 2000, Futuribles.
Özbekhan applied the field-of-systems theory to global problems, helped inspire the group of planners, diplomats, scientists and academics who came together as the Club of Rome. He wrote a paper, "The Predicament of Mankind," that became an influential core document of the group, addressing issues of energy, overpopulation, depletion of resources and environmental degradation.
In the 1970s Özbekhan was co founder and first director of The Club of Rome, with Aurelio Peccei an Italian Industrialist, and Alexander Christakis, a physicist and systems research designer. Özbekhan wrote the original prospectus for The Club of Rome, The Predicament of Mankind. This document served as vision for systems scientists who, under the leadership of Alexander Christakis and the 21st Century Agoras developed the science of structured dialogic design. Özbekhan is credited for the formulation of the Axiom of Engagement.
Together with Robert Jungk, Johan Galtung and many others he was member of MANKIND 2000.
“We will also provide tools for teaching tolerance to the network of over 1,000 American university students who teach English in French schools every year.”

Who says the scheme will backfire and on whom - the French or the Americans? lt wont backfire, it will damage France and further empower and embolden the muslims, even if it does damage the US - French relations. This has the smell of Obama all over it and remember he doesnt like Europeans even if he is better at getting along with them now. His agenda is to advance islam everywhere and in that he is succeeding. That he cant control the islamic monster is immaterial and who knows maybe he can control it and get it to do his will though the arab muslims look down on blacks contemptuously.
Sarko is an idiot to imagine Obama is his friend. l bet Obama was in his ear encouraging him to do something about Libya and who knows what else Obama is behind - he sure dropped that Egyptian leader as quick as you like as soon as things looked a bit shaky in that country. Obama probably encouraged Sarko to interven in Ivory coast too. Where ever you look in the world the muslims are marching forth conquering. Be afraid and polish your armour it is time give some back to these mohamadon puppets. Ha ha Rivkin has to be socialist/liberal jewish and they are the worst. Conservative jews are okay but the other ones - they gave us communism and the Russian revolution and millions of dead. ln fact many more innocent Europeans died because of the communist jews than jews died in the holocaust - go figure the communist jews get off scott free (its time someone said it especially now that so many socialist/liberal jews side with the muslims against the West)
