The Wages of Multiculturalism
On August 19, there was a savage attack on a white boy in the city of Dijon (above). In an initial article, dated August 31, Novopress deplored the absence of of any official reaction from the local elected leaders. Moreover, the boy's father refused to acknowledge that the attack on his son was evidence of the failure of the multi-ethnic society.
Novopress has a follow-up article dated September 2:
Novopress already reported on the anti-white racist beating by an ethnic gang in center city Dijon a few days ago. (…) The young man, 15, European in appearance, was walking with two friends, one a North African and the other an African. The friends were not touched, and the young man said he heard his attackers cry "We're out to get us a white guy!" ("On casse du cblan!")
Note: "Cblan" = "blanc" (white). This is street slang where the letters are reversed.
Surprised by the total absence of a reaction from the political leaders, the Bloc Identitaire of Burgundy first called on the deputy from the department of Côte d'Or, Bernard Depierre, of the UMP (Sarkozy's party), through the intermediary of his secretary. Then yesterday they called City Hall to question Socialist mayor François Rebsamen.
Note: Rebsamen is the first Socialist mayor of Dijon since 1935.
Both phone calls, to deputy Bernard Depierre's secretary and to City Hall, were recorded by Novopress. The first one, seven minutes long, consists of intelligent clear questions from a Novopress reporter and a rambling long-winded response from the secretary who repeats over and over that they do not have enough information on the attack, that deputy Depierre just returned, that they do not yet know much about the event, and finally that such attacks cannot be tolerated. The secretary does not answer a single question head on.
The second audio is much shorter and just as nonsensical. The woman at the City Hall who took the call belongs to an association called the "municipal antenna in the fight against discrimination." According to Novopress:
She was clearly ill at ease. She was told to say that the mayor could not intervene because the investigation was still in progress (but the attack took place on August 19!).
If this isn't a first class burial! Just like the other phone conversation.
What a difference between this and the media uproar as soon as there is the slightest hint of anti-Maghrebin, anti-African or anti-Jewish racism!
The two audios can be found at the Novopress links given above.
But all of that is minor compared to the reaction of the boy's father as reported by Le Bien Public. This is the mentality that helps support immigration and the entire liberal/progressive agenda. This pathetic man encapsulates perfectly the multiculturalist Frenchman, a completely different being from the patriotic and paternal Frenchman of ages past:
Shocked, overwhelmed, sickened, sad… These are some of the adjectives that describe the sorrows of this father whose 15-year old son was savagely beaten on August 19, on rue Berbisey, in Dijon.
The article reviews the attack (see above) and assigns the name of Paulo to the boy:
Suddenly someone called to Paulo and asked him if he had just scratched his car, and at the same moment knocked him down violently. Then he kicked him repeatedly in the head and the back. Aghast, his two friends tried to intervene, but in vain. The attacker was older, stronger, and no doubt better "trained". The young man managed to get up and ran with his friends toward the rue du Bourg, but they were followed by the thug who, in the meantime, had gotten some reinforcements. At Place François-Rude, the young Dijon resident was caught again and once again pummeled. But this time, the attacker was not alone. His brother and a whole group of older persons lent a hand (more than twenty, according to the victim). The boy was kicked several times, once in the eye. He also heard the them say: "We're out to get us a white guy!" His friends were not attacked by the gang.
The victim's father, a business executive, was devastated. "This violence is unbearable. I strive to instill values in my children. Racist words are not allowed at home. In our house, black, white, North African, what does it matter, it's the person who is important and I am for openness to other cultures. My son's two friends are proof."
And then, this father wondered: "With an increase in such senseless attacks, how can we not fear the rise of the extreme Right? How will the victims and their families be able to resist the siren call of the Front National?"
He became indignant: "These.. cowards, have just tarnished the image of the Maghrebin community that does not deserve this. But why don't they intervene? Why don't they do what has to be done to bring law and order?
The Emergency Room issued a five-day work stoppage for the young man whose swollen face and eye make one's blood run cold. A complaint has been filed.
"The policeman who greeted us was very nice. He did his job and listened to us. But I couldn't help but feel in a vague way a kind of impotence. As if these gangs, these hordes, were no longer controllable."
Since the attack, Paulo, traumatized, cannot sleep.
Note: This father needs to get out more, as they say. He has sacrificed his son on the altar of "love for the Other", and "love for the Enemy", and he claims he does not understand. As his son lies suffering in the hospital, the father is only afraid of the "extreme Right", not of the gangs and the hordes, not of the immigrants and the crime they bring, not of the anti-racist zealots (like himself) who have placed the lives of innocent Frenchmen, including women, pregnant women, children, merchants, elderly people, and all the others, in danger.
It is however interesting to note that he realizes that when there is a lot of crime the people turn to the Right. How does he know this? Because everyone knows it. Because it is only normal and natural. I take his fear of the Right as proof that he IS, on some level, aware that the Left is responsible for crime.
The father is furious at the thugs, not just because they harmed his son, but because they destroyed the beautiful image of the North African community! They rained on his ideological parade. And he calls them "cowards" a standard euphemism among cowardly liberals, to avoid calling them "violent" or "evil" or "sadistic". And to avoid confronting the obvious - that these people should never have been allowed in France.
We can only hope that some day the son will fully realize what happened to him and how pitifully deluded his parents were to put him in harm's way, proudly imagining themselves to be in the avant-garde of moral progress.
