Headline Stories

Three events in the French news are (1) the dropping of charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn in the Tristane Banon criminal case though she can still sue him in a civil trial; (2) the results of the second round of the Socialist primary election with François Hollande, former civil union partner of Ségolène Royal, emerging victorious; and (3) the record of what happened on board the Air France Airbus that went down in the Atlantic off Rio de Janeiro in June 2009.

For the latest on DSK (above, looking a bit hoary - pun intended) you can begin with this English-language article from the Mail, sent by a reader. You will learn of a prostitution racket, organized by a high-ranking official in the French National Police, and implemented for the pleasure of Mr. Strauss-Kahn. You will learn as well that he admits attacking Tristane Banon.

As for François Hollande (left), I will try to get better information on him from the French blogs. Here's a typical MSM article from The Telegraph.

I had read a few months ago that the pilots of the Air France jet appeared to be poorly trained and had no idea what to do. However, some readers comments indicated this was not true, that Air France was to blame for not replacing a faulty part on the Airbus. The latest news includes a portion of the flight recorder data that confirms they did not know what to do. But I cannot tell if it was their fault or the fact that the plane itself was faulty.
Read the story in the Mail.

Anne Sinclair - The new book
"Anne Sinclair, femme de tête, dame de coeur"
(éditions Calmann-Lévy)

- From this link, it's first of all, the authors, Alain Hertoghe et Marc Tronchot, who speak about Sinclair's conquests as a student, Jacques Attali and Laurent Fabius.

"Les deux journalistes apportent aussi leurs propres révélations, notamment ses conquêtes amoureuses comme Jacques Attali ou Laurent Fabius lorsqu’elle était étudiante, et lèvent un peu le voile sur cette personnalité qui fascine les Français depuis si longtemps."

Liliane Bettencourt had been planning to go to a concert in London for her birthday on Monday, and then on to New York for a week.

Her birthday is 21 October.

Now her grandson has decided not to let her go, as he is the one assigned to look after his grandmother.

At the same time she will still keep her right to vote at the elections.

That kind of attack

Happens everywhere in Europe now. This is nothing other than persecution. Constant threat. Meaning you never know when you are going to get attacked. "Sowing terror in the hearts of the infidels.."

Planning to stay at The Ritz?

Mohamed Al Fayed has decided to close the Paris hotel for 27 months to refurbish.

He is also the Egyptian owner of Harrods in London, and the father of Dodi Al Fayed who was killed in the same car accident in Paris, as Diana.

I don't know what "attack" you are speaking of. Was there a specific attack recently? Or do you mean the events in the "Camp des Saints"?

Attack

Sorry, about the confusion

"North Africans Attack White French Couple"
- In the link "The Camp of the Saints"
http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DZ-N6CiFXW8E

The European couple is attacked outside an entrance in this video.

Judging by his hesitation, the young man seems to be having an inner conflict. Should he protect his woman and himself by counterattacking the group of four "youths/young men", risking a worse attack on themselves, or should he try to keep things calm, managing to escape the violent situation?

"The Camp of the Saints"
- Referring to the book where Christians wanting to stay true to the Christian values, have been opening the doors to the West for immigrants aka invaders to such a degree that actually they are committing suicide.

I haven't yet read the book, but understand that it questions whether or not there is a limit to turning the other cheek and opening the doors for the needy

Attacks
The pattern

Woman(53) attacked by two men late Wednesday night as she left the tube station to walk home at Groruddalen, Oslo.

Groruddalen, the area from which Norwegians are fleeing.

The two young men held their hands over hear eyes and mouth to prevent her from calling for help. Soon two other young men arrived to complete the robbery by taking her jewelry.

The four young men were wearing hoods, and seemed to be African/Arabian, according to the woman herself.

I believe it is wrong to use Jesus' command to "turn the other cheek" as a reason for opening the door to barbarians. All these politicians who have opened the borders and placed their countries in danger are Christians who read the Bible? Of course not. Most of them are atheists or close to it. What do they care about Jesus. But if they cite the Bible it's purely for strategic purposes. Jesus says it's OK to help the needy, so it's OK to let the foreigners flood in.

I feel that Jesus was speaking in the context of a specific situation. Turning the other cheek means not fighting back, not lowering yourself to the level of your adversary. Wait. Stay calm. Let him slap you again. BUT, Jesus does not say that this is a basic policy, a foreign policy justifying for example lax sentencing by the justice system of hardened criminals. The Bible does not condone injustice, the Bible does not condone suicide, the Bible does not say that a woman should bed down with the enemies of her country to show what a good Samaritan she is.

I read through the article from Le Parisien. And I saw the photos of the "feminists". More like harlots.

I cannot say that he did not ask for this. Nor can I condone the actions of these women who are seeking an excuse for baring their breasts.

Thanks for the link. The story about the prostitution ring is horrible. As one Le Parisien reader said, we reap what we sow. Actions have consequences.

You couldn't make this up

DSK's great great grandfather had a whorehouse

New book is out, looking into the ancestors of the politicians, and who's related to who.

Other findings from the book:

Trotskist Olivier Besancenot, postman from Neuilly, is a cousin of Liliane Bettencourt.

A cousin of Marine Le Pen, is Jean-Louis Borloo.
