I was pleased at first, but there is more to this. There were a lot of Basque separatists along with Hollande supporters. Hollande has supported the EU Charter which calls for dividing Europe into protected regions and languages, in essence for the destruction of nations. If elected, Hollande will preside over the further dissolution of France. This is why the Basques like him, and boo Sarko.
@ dauphin,
Thank you for the clarification. I was a bit surprised to see him booed to this extent. I let myself think that his popularity was really at a low point. However, incidents like these may actually help him. Videos of Hollande show him to be a bad actor who nonetheless succeeds in arousing enthusiasm in his Socialist audience. All the things that threaten France - loss of sovereignty, immigration, etc... are lauded and applauded.
Indeed the EU harter, the EU cosmovision can be achieved through the dissolution of the nation states. This was the seminal thinking of the thinkers and architects of the then nascent EU. As for these " preotected regions and languages " that is a smoke screen. Once the nation is smashed nor region of language can be protected because it will run counter to the EU charter. The EU is a conglomerate of human streams in a grand panmixia adventure in which the " man and the race of tomorrow is being forged". Whether the project can succeeed or not , history will render its judgement. What is happeneing and has happened to France ? if this is a harbinger then nothing more need to be said.
