Amiens - Civil War?

Here are the words of one arrogant young rioter from Amiens, posted at François Desouche:

Twenty years old, this young man is named Abdel. He frequents chat rooms and enjoys provocation:

"Frankly, I'm disgusted that no cop was lying on the ground. They chase us, it's normal for us to react. So long as they are there there will be problems and you haven't seen anything yet. I am glad the buildings burned, I hope nobody is sorry, they'll spit on the State and even if it was my father's car, what the hell, it's only material things. Dialogue is impossible. To be heard we have to torch cars, we have nothing to lose."

During an interview on the radio show Grandes Gueules on Radio Monte Carlo, the following comments were made:

- Sophie de Menthon (French businesswoman and talk show guest): We have a civil war.

- Xavier Denamur: There were forty hooded guys apparently, that's not a civil war! Don't exaggerate! It's true there were eruptions that were rather violent, but it's not a civil war!

- Etienne Liebig (Leftist musician, artist, and friend of the Rom community): Don't constantly let the French people think there are neighborhoods where the police can't go. It's false! (…) I'll take you anywhere you want to go, tomorrow we'll both put on a bathing suit, and I'll take you everywhere in France in all the ghettos! I promise! It's false! It's a lie! It's just talk!

Note: Etienne Liebig is well named. Reverse the two syllables of his last name.

According to François Desouche the cost of rebuilding Amiens will be 336 million euros.
